Welcome
The Department of Ophthalmology at the Prince of Wales
Clinical School is the largest
teaching hospital eye unit in Australia.
The hospital’s Department of
Ophthalmology has played a significant role in visual science and clinical
ophthalmic care in Australia. It has a long history of innovation in eye
research, having been chaired by the late Professor Fred Hollows (1965-1993).
The department has made important contributions in the areas of glaucoma,
diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, rural health, telemedicine, and
sun-induced eye disease.
Please review our current
